Tilly smashed the clay mugs she had worked hard on all night. There was nothing wrong with them. But they reminded her of something from an airport souvenir shop. Absolutely unacceptable. 

She’d always had high standards. Since she was a little girl she loved visiting museums and adored the artwork on display, in particular the ancient ceramics. She would spend ages rewriting the museum exhibit cards in her notebook because she felt the curators didn’t do the work justice. 

She did her best to emulate the artwork from yesterday, crafting bowls and vases that looked like they’d been dug from old soil.

The dream was to open her own studio, maybe even a hybrid between shop and museum. At the same time, Tilly has always been curious to learn more about the beautiful culture of Selvadorada and was considering applying to university to study history. Was there a way she could combine the two?
